Growing Youth Food Security Leaders
SOCKTOBER
This year, DDMS held its third annual Socktober Sock Drive! As a school, we collected over 2,000 new pairs of socks and donated them to Note in the Pocket, a Raleigh organization that provides clothing for impoverished and homeless children in Wake County.

FOOD DRIVES
​
Our School Pantry is open all year long for students and their families in need. We run numerous food drives throughout the school year to keep it stocked.
BIRTHDAY BAG PROJECT
Donate a birthday bag! Many students don't get to celebrate their birthdays in a special way so our4H club wants to help. We will send home a birthday bag when we know a student or their family member has a birthday coming up.
The bag should include :

Frosting
-
Candles
-
Birthday plates & napkins
SUMMER CAMPS
Summer camp is filled with fun , field trips and workshops. Students are mentored by business and community leaders learning to network and improve communication & leadership skills.​

GENEROSITY FEEDS

Generosity Feeds is working to feed hungry children in every county across America so all children have the opportunity to thrive. Dillard Drive Middle School will be hosting a meal packing event on Saturday, November 11th, to feed thousands of children in our community who struggle with hunger.

CARPOOL FOOD DRIVE

The 4H Club runs 2-3 carpool food drives during the school year.4H members collect filled bags of food curbside during AM & PM Carpool. Stay posted on our website for dates.
